It’s June 3.
Almost five months since the fire.
I haven’t been able to go home. Not really.
Not without risking my health.
The story didn’t end when the flames were put out.
For many of us, that was just the beginning.
I started Voices from the Burn Zone to track what’s happening in real time.
Not through filtered updates.
Through lived experience.
Sometimes I post three times a day.
Sometimes I’m too wrecked to post at all.
Here’s the rhythm I aim for:
8 AM – Community tools or stories
11 AM – Local updates or events
5 PM – News coverage or calls to action
This week, I’ll be posting daily.
Stories. Disparities. Quiet victories.
The things they still don’t talk about enough.
Not as a representative of any group.
Just someone who hasn’t forgotten.
Coming up at 5 PM:
A feature from The Guardian on Black artists reclaiming space in Altadena.
Not just survival. Creation. Legacy. Truth.
Thanks for being here.
Thanks for staying with it.
