Protest at Loma Alta Park Opening – Altadena Families Need to Be Heard
Join us Saturday, May 17 at 10:00 AM to demand support for fire-impacted families.
From the desk of The Altadena Tenants Union:
🚨 ACTION ALERT: Protest at Loma Alta Park Opening 🚨
On Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM, we’re gathering at Loma Alta Park for a demonstration during the park’s ribbon-cutting ceremony. While LA County invests millions into park rehabilitation, our families—especially families of color—are still living in toxic conditions without meaningful support.
Our demands are clear:
Direct assistance for those impacted by the Eaton Fire
Affordable housing solutions for displaced families
Remediation and safety protections for tenants and homeowners
Let’s make sure Supervisor Kathryn Barger and county officials know that Altadena still stands together and deserves to be heard.
Details:
Meeting Point: South side of Loma Alta Dr and Sunset Ridge Rd (Loma Alta Park, 3330 N Lincoln Ave)
Meeting Time: Arrive by 10:00 AM (likely finished by noon)
Safety Note: Please wear masks/respirators; extra PPE will be available on-site.
For questions or concerns, call or text Leora at (626) 807-1995.
Let’s show up, speak up, and make sure Altadena’s voice is heard loud and clear.
